CA2622 input transformer.
The vintage AP2622 is probably most renowned for its part in the unique sonic character of the coveted API 312 card. CA2622 input transformer has been designed by CAPI to sonically replicate the transformers found in the vintage API recording consoles from the 1970s.
Gar 2520 discrete operational amplifier.
The gar2520 sounds absolutely fantastic! Sonically, it's hair-splittingly close to a vintage Huntington 2520 which is amazing if you consider the "modern component" phenomenon.
Grayhill stepped gain control.
The GH-71YY50964 is a high-quality switch for audio applications manufactured by Grayhill. This switch is perfect for stepped gain in an API style mic preamp.
EA2503 Output Transformer.
With the combination of the 2622 input transformer, the 2520 discrete operational amplifier, and the 2503 output transformer, you have one of the most sought after microphone preamplifiers ever designed.
The EA2503 has been designed by Ed Anderson to replicate the transformers found in the vintage API recording consoles from the 1970s. In the console, this transformer was mainly used to balance the output signal on the 325 cards which were post-fader, booster amplifiers. The 2503 was also used as the balancing output transformer in nearly all of the 500 series modules like the 550, 550a, 550b and more.
